Elephant Circle

Inspired by elephants who give birth within a circle of support, Elephant Circle envisions a world where all people are surrounded by support and protection throughout the entire perinatal period. Elephant Circle works alongside communities to co-design and implement strategies that redistribute power, challenge oppression, and foster resilience and transformative change. Their approach is grounded in community-based expertise, authentic relationships, and deep trust—whether reimagining health systems, navigating legal systems, or innovating with joy in the perinatal space. Elephant Circle brings an intersectional, feminist, anti-racist, and reproductive justice lens to their work, guided by design-thinking and a commitment to collective liberation.

JMAC For Families

JMAC (Just Making A Change for Families) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling the child welfare system—what the Family Advocacy Movement rightly identifies as the family policing system—while investing in community-driven supports that keep families together. JMAC leads advocacy efforts to transform laws and policies that threaten the rights, autonomy, and well-being of families. They convene and coordinate the Parent Legislative Action Network (PLAN), a statewide coalition of directly impacted parents, young people, advocates, attorneys, social workers, and scholars working together to achieve systemic change through legislative action. Committed to shifting the public narrative, JMAC amplifies the voices and lived experiences of those harmed by family policing across both social and traditional media platforms.

Movement for Family Power (MFP)

Movement for Family Power is an abolitionist movement hub and incubator committed to ending family policing and building a world where all families can thrive. Grounded in a vision of collective liberation, Movement for Family Power cultivates and harnesses community power to dismantle systems of surveillance, punishment, and separation that disproportionately harm marginalized families. Through a three-pronged approach—connection, capacity, and care—they resource, support, and uplift grassroots organizers, lived experts, and directly impacted communities leading the fight on the frontlines. Their work includes political education, narrative transformation, strategic coalition-building, and healing-centered infrastructure to support sustainable organizing.

Rooted in lived experience and Black feminist organizing, the campaign uplifts the stories of unreunified families and calls for an end to family separation as a tool of punishment and control. Through community healing spaces, political education, storytelling, and public action, we are reclaiming our narratives and fighting for systemic transformation.
