​       The MJCF Coalition, in collaboration with Elephant Circle—a leading reproductive justice organization—proudly hosted an educational webinar series focused on the child welfare system and the policies that disproportionately harm vulnerable communities.

       These sessions critically examined how state surveillance, family separation, and institutional neglect operate under the guise of child protection. Together, we unpacked the harmful procedures and practices embedded in child protective services and explored their deep intersections with reproductive justice, health equity, early childhood systems, the criminal legal system, and housing insecurity.

Each session featured a dynamic panel of experts, including:

• Attorneys and legal advocates

• Policy organizers

• Social workers and healthcare professionals

• Parents and community members directly impacted by the system
